Edward is an associate patent attorney at Sand, Sebolt and Wernow. His practice is limited exclusively to intellectual property law, with a focus on patent preparation and prosecution.

Edward brings insights into various engineering disciplines and quality management and an eye toward business. Prior to finding his niche in patent law, Edward’s career path included a decade each in engineering and management roles. He is equally at home with technical details and the business goals innovation protection augments.

Outside of the office, Edward enjoys his large and extended family, which includes playing ball on the family softball team his father started more than 40 years ago. He spends time with his children’s children (Edward is too young to be ‘grand’ anything, at least in spirit). Edward has provided patent pro bono service through the Ohio Patent Pro Bono Program (initiated by Edward’s alma mater Case Western Reserve University). He has served on several committees and services provided by the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, including Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts, Legal Innovation and Reach Out, as well as volunteering for the 3R’s high school education program. Edward has served on the Intellectual Property Owners Association Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technologies and Diversity & Inclusion committees.
