Jeff Knapp is a Registered Patent Agent licensed to prepare U.S. patent applications and prosecute patent applications before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). He works with inventors, entrepreneurs, startups and established companies to help protect innovative technologies through the patent process.

He began his career as a Patent Examiner, serving for more than eight years at the USPTO before becoming a Patent Agent. Since leaving the USPTO, Jeff has spent more than 20 years in law firms and corporate settings, working with organizations ranging from start-ups to large companies. He is also a U.S. patent holder.

Jeff has extensive experience evaluating emerging technologies and clearly articulating their key innovations. He has a proven track record of supporting the innovation process by counseling inventors and client businesses, managing patent portfolios and preparing and prosecuting patent applications. His technical experience spans a broad range of areas, including materials science, manufacturing, medical devices and general electrical and mechanical technologies.

Outside the office, Jeff enjoys spending time with his fiancé, their dog, family and friends. He is an avid sports fan, especially of Ohio State, and enjoys traveling. His travels have taken him to 46 states and five countries.
